Hi people,

Training and development takes a new turn now. Most corporates see trainers as consultants who can add value to their engagement in developing skills of employees. The training industry is moving from an unorganized sector to an organized sector, the clouds of which are visible now. Though it may take a few years to become completely organized, the effect has started now. Trainers without certifications, of any kind, may be affected in the future. I suggest that every trainer research certification courses and enroll in some of them right away to have the edge of experience after certification.

Also, there are a lot of foreigners, especially Americans, who are in the country today delivery training programs!

I am a consultant and behavioural trainer. I feel all trainers should form a network to leverage competencies and information that will eventually help every individual trainer to be a force to reckon with.

started as training officer since 1976 facilitating management dev, supervisory dev, workmen dev, safety workshop, etc. facilitated juran for quality improvement, quality circles, marketing training through NIS, Mercury Goldman, Shilputsi Consultants, programmes on Goal Setting and Performance Appraisals.

did freelance training programmes for frontline staff at birla cellulosic, om kotak mahindra, sachivalaya/through ILFS.

teach MBA-hr at IIPM as visiting faculty since 2005, taught DBM-hr 84-87.

hr retainer 2006-07 helping introduce performance appraisals, facilitating shop quality circles, and involved with staff selection.

have exposure to ISISD/ISABS,
have worked with prof kk mehta, tv rao, pkumar.
was with kirloskars, excel crop care, ghcl, atul/valsad, suzlon energy, etc. gm-hrd since 1995.
